Tasting notes:
Plagios red is a regional expression of carefully selected grapes of the French Merlot variety subjected to the microclimate of Pangeon. This full – bodied dry red wine has a dense mahogany red color. Its nose entices with typical varietal aromas of red fruits, especially black cherry, pleasantly enveloped in scents of cedar wood, nutmeg and vanilla. Expect a wonderful wine with a fruit – driven core of mellow plummy flavors and a hint of dark chocolate on a pleasantly long finish. The strong tannins are well integrated in its firm structure that gives it great ageing potential.
Food pairing:
Plagios Red teams up very well with a variety of stews and grilled meats with spicy sauces as well as fatty cheeses.
